Q: Sean Crafts (Mavenlink Co-Founder) - What is Mending Limbs?
A: Michelle - Mending Limbs Organization was created to help raise awareness of the Amputee Coalition of America as well as the advocacy for adequate prosthetic coverage in the United States. Laws are needed to help amputees live full independent lives. Yearly events are held to raise money to assist amputees in paying for prosthetics not covered by their insurance. Mending Limbs was founded in 2008 by Michelle Gilligan-Prichard and her husband Jared. Mending Limbs Organization is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Q: Sean - What was your Primary Challenge?
A: Michelle - Mending Limbs is a new Non-profit with a limited budget, small staff and a huge market need. There is tremendous need for their services, and a small staff spread out across the Country. The projects and collaboration demands began to get very complicated and time consuming. Mending Limbs has board members, consultants, advisers, and business partners in different geographic areas that need to collaborate on all different kinds of projects, from web development to benefit concerts. Finding a low cost efficient platform that is easy to manage and scale without significant cost.

A: Michelle - With the Google Apps Marketplace, Google Apps for Non-Profit, Mavenlink.com, Gist, Google Adwords, and Google Analytics Mending Limbs now has a FREE scalable business process management infrastructure that can be used to efficiently run a lean non-profit organization.
Mending Limbs uses Mavenlink to manage projects, share documents and calendars with both internal and external partners all over the United States.
Mending Limbs has seen significant improvements in efficiency, saving time and money while gaining valuable traffic and understanding of their entire web presence. We have seen a 220% increase in web Traffic from Google Grants, and increased collaboration. We have also added 7 additional email addresses without IT.
