Q: Sean Crafts (Mavenlink Co-Founder) – Can you tell us a little about your business?

A: Edgett – American Honor is a self sustaining non-profit dedicated to directly employing home-bound wounded warriors. We employ wounded American veterans as dispatchers and quality assurance agents for technicians of various trades who are members of the American Honor Co-Op.

The American Honor Co-Op provides large organizations with access to local technicians to perform small projects. The warriors who work for us receive work orders from customers, dispatch the Co-Op techs, facilitate communication between the customer and tech, track the time and materials used on projects, and generate customer invoices on behalf of both the technician and Co-Op.

Q: Sean – How did you find Mavenlink?

A: Edgett – After a thorough search and trial of an online project management solution, we were relieved to find Mavenlink in the Google Apps Marketplace.

Q: Sean – How has Mavenlink helped your business?

A: Edgett – Mavenlink is the key to American Honor’s operations, providing a unified communication platform between our technicians and customers and employees. Without Mavenlink, we would be forced to implement an incomplete project management solution comprised of various incompatible databases which would not provide the necessary communication platform to allow wounded veterans to work from home. The Mavenlink integration with Google Apps is superb: removing the need for an expensive email/file/VPN server solution.

Q: Sean – Please explain the Results of using Mavenlink and Google Apps. How do you collaborate online with both?

A: Edgett – American Honor’s combination of Google Apps and Mavenlink allows our geographically dispersed home-bound wounded warriors to collaborate and consistently provide our customers with high-level of service, while simultaneously keeping customers informed of the status of their projects up to the minute.

American Honor makes heavy use of Google Apps; especially, Gmail and Google Docs, as an information storage and communication platform. The Mavenlink integration with Google Docs is an essential link to all information stored on projects.
